Day 1. Colombo
Arrival at Colombo airport. Group meeting and acquaintance.
We prepare all the things and visit the floating Pettah market.
Also visit one of the oldest Buddhist temples in Colombo Sri Kalleswara. Colorful towers and decoration of the temple are amazing.

Overnight in hotel.
Day 2. Galle
In the morning we go by train to the Galle — the capital of the southern province. Here is one of the best preserved colonial fort. On its territory the Dutch built a whole city: temples, prison, housing, lighthouse. Take a walk through the old streets and fast forward to a few centuries ago.

Back to Colombo. Overnight transfer by train to Ella (2-beds coupe).
Day 3. Ella
Today the plan is a relaxing walk to the Small Peak of Adam. On the way we will enjoy the mountain landscapes and from the top we will observe the points-cars moving along the mountain serpentine.

Then take a photo on the 9 - arch bridge Demodara and look between the hills of Ravana waterfall.

Overnight in Ella.
Day 4. Nuwara Eliya
The train to Nuwara Eliya is a 2 hours of beautiful mountain scenery and relaxing in the train.

Nuwara Eliya is a small mountain town with English mansions, lovely courtyards and gardens. On arrival take a walk around the city and then go to explore the picturesque surroundings. Climb to the top of Single Tree Hill and enjoy views of Nuwara Elia and the surrounding tea plantations.

Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.
Day 5. Kandy
Moving from Ella to Kandy by train with unforgettable views outside the window.

From Kandy on the bus going to Dambulla and visit the rock-carving of a Buddhist temple of the I century BC. The Temple is located on a picturesque hill and consists of 5 main caves containing ancient Buddha statues.

Then move to Sigiriya, where we will stay for the night. In the morning we have an early climb to the mountain Pidurangala.
Day 6. Pidurangala - Trincomalee
Sigiriya mountain is a unique place. On its top (370 m above sea level) built an impregnable fortress of the 5th century AD.
The best place to see the rock is the nearby Pidurangala mountain where we will go early in the morning to see the sunrise.

Then by train to Trincomalee. Refresh supplies of food and go to the Fort Frederick built in 1624 on the sacred mount Kannamali. Fort operates to this day.
Overnight in Trincomalee.
Day 8. Pigeon island
In the morning we will go to the quiet and deserted beach of Nilaveli.

After the boat will get to Pigeon — a small island and one of the marine national parks of Sri Lanka. There is an opinion that here the best coral reefs of the Indian ocean. We will check it out and go snorkeling.
Return to Trincomalee.
